Helloooo! Long time no update eh? I bet you are just itching for this one right? hah too much enthusiasm eh? I know muahahaha. Well folks, Not much really happening here, have 2 new babies amongst us, one filly and one more colt. they are still so cute! Charlie(cruises colt) is the cutest bay, and curious, he'll come right up to me and try to nibble my sweater and i'll play w/ him it's quite the entertainment. We started cleaning out the pens yesterday with a skid steer. mmm that was fun :S lol two paddocks are cleaned and the round pen, and near the stallion pens are clean so far, we have 1,2,3,4 places to clean either tonite if Paul is coming or on the weekend definitly. And lately I 've supposedly supposed to be going to town...but the damn rain stops me everytime!!!! haha but we are supposed to be picking up 2 of their horses in the barn in town Seargent and Crusoe and they are coming home soon, prolly tonite then i think i dont know hopefully soon i need some human contact!!!!! lol Well I'm trying to get my time off for september so i can go visit the nut jobs in kemptville ;) luv ya'z! and i figured when school is in again so i can see everyone. so well i have to book my flight number one, well pay for it, i hav eto figure that out cuz i dont have a credit card. so yah. hopefully it's still as cheep. six hundred bucks to go, not bad for half way around the country lol...no way wuz i taking a bus again!!!! haha well that's pretty much the just of it really, almost got ahold of rachael yesterday! lol i'll have to try again eh? But i did talk to tina too, that was cool, today i have quite the work load for me, wel not really but almost, i have to clean majestic's pen, pick up all the wood panels in the yard...padock, feed the studs,check on the mares, and boyz(yearlings) and sweep the tack room, the list goes on lol ah well it's all good, but that's about all the update really. Hey everyone, It's not such a nice day here in Estevan i tell ya :( The foal i was trying to nurse the other day, well died yesterday in my arms. :*( It was the saddest thing for me to deal with, well since i really haven't gotten to deal w/ something like that, It was too bad he didn't try harder, altho i think there must of been something internal going on to be that severe becuz all the other foals turned out perfectly healthy. We tried for 2 days to get that foal to suck, well he did but 5 hours after he should've gotten the colustrum. So anyways I tried my best to get this sucker to go, get up but he just couldn't, he also had all three legs contracted tendons. I wish he could've just died sooner as bad as that sounds because when they have that wrong w/ them it does in fact cause alot of pain. He tried his hardest tho when he wanted to get up, but it just wasn't enough, i kinda braced myself for it since the night before he died his eyes were starting to sink in, isn't a pretty picture. I was trying to give him a bit more electrolytes so he could get some energy to get up atleast and suck, but he slowly died in my arms. But i guess he's in a better place now. Other thanthat folks, not much of an up date, no more new babies yet i had to hose off Albert a bit, he still had a bit of a blood clot in there so we had to get rid of that so it could drain properly. looks like its starting to go good. Checked on the mares again, everything is good. Sunday i get to go the barn/fairgrounds in town ...hah mmmmm yummy cowboys gonna be there! lol yay, some excitement finally:) I'll take em any day, hah, i even had a great convo w/ the vet's assistant! lol he was hot! lol he said he'll be at the fair grounds on sunday for the roping practices, im like whoo whoo! haha and i met this really nice girl that im gonna start to hang out with more, her name is shelagh. We are going to go out, hang out w/ a few ppl some day soon so im excited starting to meet some peeps. Well that's pretty much the tail end of it anyways, so I'll come on again today or tomorrow prolly tomorrow w/ another update! Ciao! Have a agood day everyone! Allo fellow canadians! How goes it? here, its going rather well, I'm just heading back out to work again, finish some jobs...I have to nurse the 2nd foal with contracted tendons, i think there might be something internal going wrong becuz he just can't get his legs working, and he shows he wants to and is really trying...:S it's really heart wrenching tos ee the little guy like that, so we gave a syringe of electrolytes to see if that did anything, but both of his eyes were starting to sink in, which honestly isn't a very good sign. Altho he may have problems because he can't get up and when he was born he didn't know where to suck right away, and they were out in the pasture so, he hadn't gotten any colastrum in him in the first hour like he should've. so we've been monitoring him like crazy, and the mare is an idiot, she jsut steps on him like he's not there, so there must be something else wrong here becuz she didn't do that with any of her other 6 foals or so. SO today...I have to go check on him again see if he'd sucked yet for today or if i walk into a barn w/ a dead foal. :S mmm yummy...then today i have to hose down Albert too...Poor guy! i feel so bad for this colt man, he was one of the ones we gelded and he just swelled up like a football, literally!!! So we have to hose him down with cold water every few hours or so to keep the drainage happening we popped the blood clot yesterday where the incision was and that was interesting...:s lol good thing i had surgical gloves! lol but no, i have to hose him off and get that liquid build up to drain a bit more and try to reduce the swelling again. get him movin, walk him up and down the road or somethin' he's walking alright in the pasture tho, but have to do a little extra. Hello everyone!!! Phew...!!! It's pretty windy today! Not bad weather just windy...lol It's the land of extremes out here I tell ya! Altho i could've asked for a light breeze lol but who cares really lol Not to much happenin out here really, just pokin around getting some stuff done that had to be done. Like gelding the yearling colts....Now lemme tell you it was interesting. there was 7 of them and we just did a line up and snip snip lol It actually didn't gross me out lol The vet's assistant was prety cute ;) talked to him for a while lol let's hope he's back soon haha not for anything bad tho lol. I got to see Ashleighs baby born yesterday! It was the coolest thing! She ended up having a chestnut filly so far we think it'll stay chestnut, not going grey i think. And yesterday we spent most of the evening/afternoon trying to get this colt out in the field to suck the first bits of colastrum. argh pain in the ass, number one becuz there was just me and wes holding the bugger up and he is 3 times the size of a normal foal!!! it was so hard...cuz i think both his front and back legs have contracted tendons, like the one foal i had explained in my previous blogs..:S aie! so we fought with him just to make sure he got a good gulp of the colastrum and we'd catch them up later on to bring them in the barn. so that's where they are now. And now im watching that foal and the first foal with contracted tendons...he's alright, with the one left fore still is contracted a bit...so its starting to heal rather quickly. Then one of the colts we gelded, Albert got massive swelling, so i have to hose him off every so often throughout the day to get the swelling down,so far it has a little so i have to keep up w/ that one. Then we bred Cash the day before as well, we bred every second day in their heat to make sure they caught. This week/weekend we start the 3 year old geldings on the hill. They are so cute. I'm going to start, Kasey, Haggar, Landor, and Amos. I'm starting to have a little relationship happening with Amos. he's sooo cute! He's dappled grey, lighter grey, he's about 16Hands and should stay at that. He's got alot of energy to burn i tell ya lol the others are just hey your here pet me, amos will follow me around and i give him hugs on his face rub his ears forever, so i think im goign to ask Wes if i can work w/him first. of course i'll work on the others too that's my job, but I am looking to buy one maybe soi wanna see they're potential, no better way than this eh? But uh yah thats about it for scoop wise. We had 2 other foals the other day too, 2 fillies. They are so cute too, running and rippin' around the field lol the only two we've had a prob with are the two w/ contracted tendons. that's about it really. Which is good, because we still have a bout 5-6 more to go I think 3 due sometime this week, and 2 or 3 due in July. It's quite a busy breeding/foaling season. lol Well I still have to phone Kyle and Ash back home, I havent even had time much to phone anyone cuz i com ein late at night and it's 2 hours ahead back home. So i'll have to give them a shout soon, see how the Soo is lol :D Other wise, that's the update so far. Howdy everyone! How goes it? Well it's going good for me so far, busy beaver i am tho! It FINALLY stopped raining here in Saskatchewan....lol now it's hot n sunny! yay tanning time! haha, it has been interesting here so far, yesterday the vet came out to do an IV drip on the foal that had the contracted tendons. something about tetracycline...yadda yadda.. anyway she put the iv in and she had other patients to visit so there's me with this huge hanoverian baby lol with an iv in him and i have to wait til it's done.....phew...well 2 HOURS LATER! lol it was finally done, the bag was empty and i could finally start getting him back in the stall w/ mom...well think that would be easy lol nope! I practically wrestled this little bastard the whole way.... lol tied the mom to a pole so i could just keep the door open considering both my hands would be on this foal....lol geez. so anyway, i put him in a headlock practically to keep his front end from squirming too much and my hand pulling his tail so he'd just move forward....1 hour later....lol he finally gives up and i pull him in the stall w/ mom lol the mare was just looking at me saying...idiot lol hah it was fun tho, interesting....:S Then i had to see the geldings and the mares check on them before i cal it a night...chased 2 coyotes! hehe yay, im proud now...lol then on my way back...bam! boot gets sucked into the mud on the road, and i fly to the ground lol worst ever....lol then i was going to clean some tack cuz it was DUSTY!!!! and the tack room needed some re-organizing..so i did that for 2 hours cleaning tack and getting stuff all in the correct place felt good to do that, today im gonna finish some tack here in the house, and some bridles. I've never seen so many halters! they have atleast 40 horses k....and double the halters lol! haha they just build up i guess lol but that's pretty much the day yesterday after i left my blog. Today i checked on the foal in tha barn, made sure the splint was still ok...it was he could get up on his own, went out to see the mares, one looked like she was in labor...but nope...damnit. lol say another coyote this morning, said hi to the fillies and geldings and of course the two studs and that's it for now, i'll be doing some more stuff soon. Riding is this afternoon....Lemme tell you....phew...them warmbloods....lotta work lol hahaha but fun nonetheless lol Well i'll catch up with everyone lata on! ok? Hey folks! how goes it? Well, here in Estevan Saskatchewan it's a blistery day! Drizzling a bit but it's not quite as bad as yesturday!!! Did a little bit of chores here, swept the barn, cleaned out the foaling stall...I'm still foal watching right now, because the baby that was born on the 29th has contracted tendons in the fore legs but on the back. So we have been splinting it and watchin to see if they are stretching a bit, looks like just a smidge tho. The vet is coming out today to look at him give him a bit of Tetracycline to help loosen them tendons up. Hopefully all goes well. We shall see. I did a bit of mare watch as well today, I'm supposed to be looking for heat cycles and a couple more mares are pregnant so foal watch as well. No new poppers yet. :S It's kind of hard to defer some of these mares tho, becuz they are all chestnut or bay and a few greys. So you really have to look lol cuz some ARE identical! lol there are 3 babies out in the pastures now, and they are soooo cute! one's limping on her left hind foot, so i went out there again to look at it, but i can't tell exactly where it is, so the vet is coming out anyways misewell get that checked out too. Everything else seems in order, lata im going to be cleaning some tack to keep me occupied soon i'll be breaking the 3 year old geldings :D yay, there's 2 that for sure im considering to buy! Kasey, and Haggar. They are adorable they are halter broke and VERY ppl oriented lol so working w/ them shall be simple, they are used to the farrier, cross-ties everything...But you guys could've never guessed megan at a hunter/jumper/dressage warmblood farm! hahah me neither but, it's interesting and i've always wanted to get involved in this "department". It's going to be a great learning experience. So maybe i might get a deal on buying one of those geldings since i will be training them with Wes. :S hmmm maybe well i can always hope. I don't know for sure if i realy want to buy him tho...cuz i do have to pay off my loan, and try to get a car. :S but yah i guess i'll figure it out. since this is only a summer job so far i might be able to work here during the year. which would be cool cuz then i'd use the summer money(5,000$) to buy Haggar or Kasey,and then the year's money to start paying my loan and get a car. :s but also i've been trying really hard to get a job in the barn in Montreal cuz then that way i can buy Haggar, trailer him cheap and have a stall there, and still do the same. :S i'll figure it out sooner or later. but yah so far that's my day, and it's only like 10am hahahha. but i'll update you guys a little later, prolly tomorrow... gotta go check on those yearling colts lol .... Hey everyone! First day at work here in Estevan, Saskatchewan. :D YAY! 40+ horses out here man, i'm already in heaven! haha go figure eh? Well I'll give you the low down so far: 2 days on the greyhound...whoo hoo that was fun :D Not! haha had an "interesting" time lol geez. it's very country out here tho, very FLAT lol as they say here you can see your dog run away for days lol other than that i've been rather busy, packing and stuff. it got rather hectic. But now that im here i'm relieved. I get to ride all of these horses and start the youngsters! :D yay it'll be great :D i already have 2 favs that are for sale that i really want. haggar and Kasey. Both geldings, they are pretty big tho, that's cuz they are hanoverians. but flashy nonetheless!. Since i get to work with them with Wes it'll be cooler, i jus tmight get a deal on one :D they are so friendly 3 year olds too. I'm excited i could learn so much here! man, it'll be awsum. I just started so there really isn't that much to talk about it's pretty standard stable stuff lol I have to go around foal watching see if any more babies are here, check for heat cycles and stuff. That's pretty much the scoop...Other than that, I miss home very much so. Hewwwwo!!!!

Well, I'm so excited....man i dont even know where to start man!!!! I'm currently working at Mackinaw Island...it's not tha greatest thing in the world....plus the pay, actually sucks but it's the only job I got so far....except now!!!!muahahaha
I had read on the Kemptville College website that there was a job in saskatchewan! Well, I hopped on that one and emailed the people that owned the barn and said that I was interested in working there for them and so i waited for a reply. Next day, Ruth emailed me back :D hehe right on i said. She explained what I'd be doing and stuff and so far it sounded good altho im more of a western person than english but Ive always wanted to experience english more. Altho i havne't really ridden as much as I said. It can't be that hard since I have done it before a little. I 'll learn. I'm so excited to get this started. Altho I think I'm going by bus. hhaha which is ok with me lol it's gonna take two days. but hey i get there, i get there...:DThey sound like nice people anyways which is always a great thing too. I've never been this happy in a long time...It means i'll have to leave the soo, and all my friends...but i guess that's what life's for eh? I 'll keep in touch w/ them all of course! I''ll miss them sooo much! :(

Hey guys! Haven't written in a bit, wow....Nothing much up here....lol same ol as last blog, Called Laurel tho, tried to call Marv, and Jess but no one was home when I called so I'll just try again...Rachel, well I dont even bother to try calling yet, since she's been so busy. And it was too bad about Erin's job, it sounded really cool. Well, this is my first blog since i restarted this thing. I lost alot of entries but you know what, it's all good, some of them didn't really need to be up.
Well It's been fun back here in the sault altho i haven't really been here long, I've been rather busy since then. I have a job at Mackinaw with like no internet right now or phone. lol so when i come back once a week i check my email and stuff. I've been to a few bars lately with my friends, too many budds to keep track, man....holy crap and I've successfully hooked another guy ;) haha
His name is Matt Ferranti....sooo hot. lol mmmmm he's like the same height as I am so it makes me feel good :D I met him at the Canadian on Tuesday when he said he could drink me under the table lol hahahah Like that will happen so i took him on, i dont care about money i have enough to blow. So there we started. Man, i was so trashed but u know he was even worse lol so it all worked out. Had some fun that night;) and he's coming again with me obviously on Tuesday hahaha we'll have a blast i know it. :D
Other than that, not much else has been happening, Next week sometime i think im going to call the gurls  back out in kemptville because i did something unforgivable and horrible and wish to apologize for my own stupidity. I really dont know how it got to that honestly, I felt to bad after when I had gotten back that this huge cloud of guilt followed me around. so I will let them know how I feel hopefully all goes well even though I can't go out to Rachaels for May 2-4 But anyways
I will update my blog soon enough with more little tidbits ;)
